Beaver County Pennsylvania Genealogy Collection #2

This collection consists of various smaller and more obscure publications published on Beaver County, Pennsylvania.  These include town and township histories, local church histories, directories, publications on professions, business, industry, education, government, war involvement, etc.  Published between 1876 and 1974, these publications include over 4,500 pages, providing a wealth of information on the history of the county and its residents.  Often these smaller publications contain historical and genealogical gems found nowhere else - such as portraits, biographies, and records.

This is a wonderful opportunity to own your own library on Beaver County.  To find and purchase all of these publications would be a huge investment in time and money.  Yet, here you can have all of this information to use at your convenience - and in a format that makes research much easier.  The work in collecting this information has already been done, and now you can take advantage of it!

This book was published as a 150th anniversary commemoration of the village of 'Old' Economy and the town of Ambridge in Beaver County, PA.  It focuses on the Harmony Society as the major influence in the settlement of these areas, and in separate sections gives the history of the development of each.  The section on Ambridge is more extensive giving also a description of the town and its various organizations, churches, industries, fraternal organizations, clubs, etc.  This is a nice resource for research in Beaver County.
